STRANGER THINGS - X-MEN 134 Recreated Cover

Like so many other many, I fell hard for the Netflix original series STRANGER THINGS. I knew I wanted to do some fan art & in the first episode, at the first mention of X-Men 134, I googled the cover. So I recreated it with the STRANGER THINGS cast. Here it is!

Entering the Pin Game w/ KO!

I've officially entered the pin game! I was watching WWE Payback a few weeks ago and Kevin Owens walked out for commentary and stuck a cowboy hat on his head. He really stole the show that night so as I continued to watch Payback, I sketched this out:

The awesome Lapel Yeah caught wind of the image and wanted to make a pin out of it...so we did!

WHERE'S BOB?!? - A Where's Waldo Inspired Twin Peaks Piece

Here's something I've been working on here & there the last few months. A Where's Waldo inspired Twin Peaks piece...WHERE'S BOB? I may be looking into making this into a 12"x18" print if folks are interested. It was a lot of fun and I have ideas to make a few more Twin Peaks scenes if I can find the time.

For Twin Peaks fans, you'll see some familiar faces in the Black Lodge with a ton of Special Agents thrown in. Have fun searching!

THERE ARE TWO OF ME - Art Exhibit

My twin brother, Cody, & I are working hard getting ready our first shared art exhibit called THERE ARE TWO OF ME. The exhibit will have new pieces from us and is taking place in our hometown of Harlingen, TX. It opens Friday evening, September 25th and will run through mid-November.

We have some really fun and creepy pieces for this exhibit and are looking forward to the opening late September. Make the trek to South South Texas if you're feeling adventurous. You can hang out on South Padre Island or take a day-trip to Mexico! But best of all, you can stare at all of our new pieces!

FOR THE TITLE: CHAMPION WISH EDITION...HARDCOVER!

We just wrapped up our FOR THE TITLE kickstarter and it was FULLY FUNDED!  Not only was it fully funded but we hit every stretch goal we set!  Meaning that FOR THE TITLE stickers and more buttons are being made AND...the best part...the book will be HARDCOVER!  If you want to review the kickstarter project page, click here.

I can't thank everyone who backed or shared this thing enough and my buddy, Austin (the writer), and I are so stoked to get this book printed and out there. I'm chugging along on finalizing the book and just waiting for the funds to clear and be deposited so we can ship this baby off to the printer!

SIX Horror Anthology Pin-up: WHEN THE EVIL CAME

Head over to kickstarter and back SIX, a horror anthology created by my friend Fabian Rangel Jr. I'll have a fun/gross pin-up in the collection once it's published. My twin brother (Cody) worked with Fabian on one of the six short stories included in the collection, called WHEN THE EVIL CAME. Below is the homage piece to their story. FOR THE TITLE Mini Comics?!

I now have FOR THE TITLE mini comics available on my online store!  My buddy, Austin Green, & I created this web comic about a year ago and have been posting every weekday since August 2013 (with two breaks).  We started Vol. 3 last month and have some ridiculous things planned so be sure to follow on instagram, twitter or tumblr.  If you like what you see and want a physical copy of Vol. 1 or Vol. 2, pick up the handmade mini comics. I throw in some character buttons and free sketch with every order!

ROM Remix

I contributed a page to the recently completed ROM Remix project that I wanted to share here. One artist was given a single page to recreate from the original ROM: Spaceknight issue 1, written by Bill Mantlo with art by Sal Buscema. I was lucky enough to be assigned page 6 and the finished page is below. Colors by Megan Wilson with letters by Chas Pangburn.

The purpose of this free online collaborative comic is hopes to bring in some donations to the Bill Mantlo Support Fund.  I encourage you to donate whatever you can.

CLEAN HANDS Comic...DONE!

I worked on a 12-pg black & white comic called CLEAN HANDS with New Jersey native, Claire Connelly and it is finished!  And it...is...BEAUTIFUL.  I wanted to work with Claire the first time I saw her art last year so I wrote a short story just for her style. After a quick back & forth, we got the ball rolling and knocked out this gorgeous book. I got them printed and it's now ready to be held in your hands!  I have copies up on my online store and will also have them available at upcoming conventions I'll be attending (next one is Staple!). Definitely check it out! I'm super proud of it.

Austin Comic Con

Austin Comic Con is this weekend (Nov. 22-24)! I'll be sharing a table with my brother, Cody, and debuting some new prints, buttons and a FOR THE TITLE mini-comic!  I'll be at Table D-8 in Artist Alley all weekend taking commissions, selling prints, buttons & comics and looking for as many people to talk to, so swing by if you're in town.  Come ask me & Cody about the progress of BULLMOOSE and ask to see new pages for the book.  Below are two new prints that I'll have available this weekend:
